About Me

I'm a senior in the Politics department. The first two years I tried to avoided this discipline because the field is contentious. But, Professor Brooks' course The Art of Statesmanship and the Political Life. challenged my beliefs of admirable politicians.

"...my friend...politics is more difficult than physics."

Before Princeton

Pulling further on thread of, "who I am", I point to San Diego as the locale of my most formative life experiences. San Diego is where the Marine Corps stationed me during my enlistment. San Diego is where I attended community college. San Diego is home for me so when I transferred to Princeton University, nostalgia remains persistent despite living in New Jersey for four years. The city of San Diego, become part of my identity, more than I realized. The weather was/is always amazing.

Past Times

Fishing

I like to fish both fresh and salt water. When I lived in SD, I fished a few bass tournaments and won a few prizes. What I enjoy most about fishing is teaching "someone how to fish and watching them land their first fish! Watching the smile that lights up that person's face when the line gets tight, when the rod starts to bouncing, and when drag starts to sing. I tried to get people hooked on fishing. Fun Fact: You catch tuna with a plain hook and line—yep, sometimes you don't need bait.

SCUBA

I enjoy swimming with the fishes too! Going underwater is fun, but I get a from wreck dives.

Motorcycles

I enjoy riding. I bought my first motorcycle at 16 years old. The bike was a 1996 retro bobber Honda Shadow 1100cc. The white wall sold me on the bike. My bike look similar to this video.

Aspirations

Freediving

I'm amazed to see divers swim at the depths comparable to SCUBA divers and not relying on expensive equipment.
